The Sunken Temple

This piece is an exploration of a forgotten world resting beneath the surface of the sea. Inspired by the myth of Atlantis, The Sunken Temple imagines ancient ruins still standing in the quiet depths, where light fades into shifting shades of blue and history dissolves into mystery. Through layered textures, crackled surfaces, and deep ocean tones, the painting evokes stone worn smooth by centuries of water. Soft turquoise highlights mimic refracted light passing through the waves, while darker indigo passages suggest hidden corridors and collapsed walls. The ghostlike pillars hint at a once-sacred space, now claimed by the sea but not erased by time. This work invites the viewer to pause and enter a world suspended between memory and myth.
